About Myself

I was born and raised on Cape Cod (Massachusetts). There are still a few words that will always have the Eastern accent but for the most part I have lost almost all of my accent. :-(   I am an ordained minister. I pastored 3 churches over a 25 year span (2 in Michigan, 1 in Iowa). In 2006 I left the pastorate to go back to school. I finished my B.A. in one year (21 credits one semester, 24 the second semester) and then stayed on for my M.A. and completed that in 2 years. My plan (perhaps in June 2016) is to teaching in a seminary in India. Aside from teaching 3 classes at DMACC, I work full-time as the warehouse clerk at P.D.I. (Perishable Distributors of Iowa) in Ankeny. My wife and I celebrated our 34rd anniversary last year. We have raised 4 daughters, 1 still at home, and have 3 granddaughters.

Personal Interests

Genealogies. I have published 2 family history books on my wife's family, and presently I'm editing a book on my side of the family. All 3 have been accepted by the Library of Congress. I have been president of 2 genealogy societies, one of which I started here in Iowa (Walnut, IA). I do genealogy/family research for a fee.,

I also raise egg-laying chickens (about 20 right now) and sell the eggs.
